Mylesiah_Chapter6

In Chapter 6, I was most intrigued with the Three-Point Lighting and the different types of lights such as Key Light, Fill Light, and Backlight. Out of the three, I was most interested in Backlight. What I learned is that the blacklight is that it's, "a light that shines on the back of a subject." (Sandler) I find it interesting how filmmakers use this in their films and how it'll play out in the scene.

This article, What Is a Backlight in Film and TV? | No Film School goes more in depth of what Backlight is. From this article, I have learned that backlighting is used to enhance, "the overall mood, atmosphere, and narrative dynamics of a scene." (Hellerman)
