1. In Chapter 8, I read a lot about camera movements and their effects on the audience's focus. I wanted to learn more about the tracking shot after being introduced to it in this chapter. Moving the camera to follow a character connected with this sense of importance and urgency in films. Directors choosing to follow an object with a tracking shot could also bring up very interesting context around it.
2. Mascha Deikova, "Different Types of Tracking Shots and What Emotions They Evoke"
3. This article provided me with a lot more context and understanding to how tracking shots can be used most effectively. Bringing the emotion into tracking shots skills was also very interesting and enlightening. Holding the suspense with tracking shots can also be a good way to introduce the character's reactions while creating mystery within the audience. Following someone from behind using tracking techniques can also create a unique sense of horror like in the scene of Danny biking down the hallway in The Shining by Stanley Kubrick.
