Mylesiah_Chapter4

What stood out to me the most while reading this chapter was the exposure technique. I learned that the "exposure is the amount of light that is captured by the image." (Sandler, pg. 38) There are many degrees to exposure such as overexposure, under exposure and proper exposure. It is important to use one of the three that would be most fitting for the story you are trying to capture. For example, if you are wanting your audience to see the image clearly, you would use proper exposure rather than under exposure.

While reading this article Exposure explained - Learn About Film, it provided many tools you can use to play with the lighting/exposure. For example, using Aperture can "change how much light comes through the lens." (Barrance)
