After reading Chapter 5, I was most interested in zoom lenses vs. prime lenses. The book explains how most people know what a zoom lens is and it is pretty self explanatory. If an object you are wanting to shoot is far away, you can simply zoom in to get a closer look. Whereas a prime lens doesn't zoom in or out, so you have to actually move to get the shot you want. So which is better? It really comes down to preference and what kind of style you are shooting for. The video below explains this same idea.

There are pros and cons to each. Such as how a prime lens can go as wide a 1.2, while a zoom lens typically maxes out at around 2.8. Zoom can be very helpful in versatility, especially in sport photography or something similar. But the video also explains that having zoom doesn't mean you should never move your feet and get closer to an object. Because being all the way zoom in will make your photo look different than if you were actually that close to the object. Ultimately, choosing between zoom or prime lens really depends on preference, style, and what kind of look you want. There are pros and cons to using both!
