1. Chapter 4 is focused around how to utilize camera settings as a tool in storytelling. I was especially interested in shutter speed and how it can affect motion blur. The motion blur has two forms of presenting and utilizing this effect in film is very different compared to still photography. He uses the examples of lower shutter speed achieving a blur to symbolize disorienting scenes in films. In addition, the author presents how the high shutter speed can give the scenes a jumpy or intense feeling for chase and fight scenes.

2. Beyond The Time "Cinematic Motion Blur"

3. This article provided a lot of interesting extra information on how to incorporate shutter speed in film. It introduced the 180 degrees rule of shooting with your shutter speed being twice of your frame rate to affect the motion blurs. It provides tests and examples of how the 180 rule can affect scenes and how it can help viewers connect more with the realism of your motion.
