One of the things in chapter 3 that I have been thinking about is the concept of low-angle shots. This type of shot is something we discussed recently in my Intro to Film course, and similarly to the textbook, we talked about how it is used to make a character seem more powerful or intimidating.

In researching, I found this blog post by Soundstripe called "Power Dynamics in Film: The Impact of a Low-Angle Shot." In this post, author Mackenzie Scott first defines the low-angle shot and how it is used. Scott goes on to show examples of low angle shots in famous films, such as Silence of the Lambs and Mission Impossible. Finally, Scott provides resources for further reading on the topic.
